The comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and management of ALS is an essential part of our ALS Multidisciplinary Care Center. The multidisciplinary clinic is made up of experienced health care professionals who are ready to assist you.

Key members of our team are the patient (their family, caregivers and friends). The success of this team approach begins with you, the patient. When you come to our ALS Multidisciplinary Care Center you will have the opportunity to meet with members of the medical team during a 3 hour session. Each team member is available to you and will requested or indicated conduct an evaluation and provide recommendations. All of the team members are important players in developing a plan of care that will meet your medical, social and personal needs.

Since clinic may last up to 3 hours we strongly encourage you to bring a family member of friend for companionship as well as assistance in sorting through or writing down key points from your visit. It is also important that you bring a light picnic to make sure that you eat and drink enough during the visit as well as on the way home.

We provide follow up after an ALS center to follow through on your understanding of what the plan is for your care, as well as to make sure referrals that were set up have in fact been followed through on. We are always available in between visits to answer your questions or to just listen.
