CLINICAL RISK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE


Approved by Executive Committee of Medical Board as a Standing Committee on April 16, 1989.

STATEMENT OF CHARGE TO COMMITTEE:

1. Identifies and evaluates general areas of potential risk in the clinical aspects of patient care and safety that have been identified following specific case reviews.

2. Institutes action plans to correct or reduce risk in the clinical aspects of patient care and safety.

3. Voting members of this committee shall include: The Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs, the Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs, the Executive Vice President for Nursing, the Director of Risk Management, physicians from the various clinical services and others as deemed necessary by the Chairperson.

4. Meets five times a year.

5. Reports annually to Medical Board.
