CLINICAL SERVICES COMMITTEE FOR THE ALLEN PAVILION

Approved by Executive Committee of Medical Board as a Standing Committee on January 4, 1989.

STATEMENT OF CHARGE TO COMMITTEE:

1. The Allen Pavilion Clinical Services Committee (TAPCSC) shall be responsible for reviewing the professional care and treatment of patients at The Allen Pavilion in accordance with the highest standard of medical science and recommending remedial action in the event that variations from optimal medical care are found.

2. TAPCSC will advise the Medical Board of matters pertaining to the health and well-being of the patients at The Allen Pavilion and shall make suggestions and recommendations tending to improve such professional care and to enhance the usefulness of the Pavilion.

3. Review at a minimum of three times per year the monthly Quality Assurance reports of each of the Clinical Services and the Emergency Service at The Allen Pavilion. Each Clinical Service Chief will be responsible for submitting monthly Quality Assurance activity reports to their respective service quality assurance committees.

4. Review Blood Bank, Communicable Diseases and Antibiotics, Medical Records, Pharmacy, Surgical/Invasive Case Review, Utilization Review, and Safety issues that arise specific to The Allen Pavilion, and refer as necessary to the appropriate committee/ service for action/resolution.

5. Voting members of the Committee shall include the Chief of each of The Allen Pavilion Clinical Services, the Medical Director, the Directors of Nursing and Social Work Services for The Allen Pavilion, and others as deemed appropriate by the Chairperson.

6. Meets monthly.

7. Reports quarterly to Executive Committee of Medical Board.

8. Reports annually to Medical Board.
