- irradiation: 12 min. 150 kV

Irradiate: 100 worms on 20 6cm plates (normal worm plates), i.e. 5 worms per plate.

- starve worms (on the 20 plates)

- chunk starved worms on fresh plate (i.e. 20 chunks on 20 new plates)

- 1 day later: pick 200-300 transgenic animals (i.e. 15 animals per plate)

- wait for next generation - on average 3-4 of those picked animals will be homozygoused integrants.
