Interested in writing for the Vector? Have something to say? Something to advertise? Something to explain? Here's the place to do it! All GSAS students' contributions are, of course, welcome but so are contributions from faculty, staff, and our fello w Health Sciences students in the Medical School. If you are interested in contributing to the Vector, contact Annie Fortunato at af155@columbia.edu or come to one of our GSO meetings on Monday nights at 6pm in HH 1609. We would love to hear from you!

Interested in seeing a Broadway or off-Broadway show for less money? Chase-Manhattan bank is offering a book full of coupons for up to 50% on tickets to over 180 shows from March 1 to April 30, 1996. Shows in the following categories are included: Child ren/Family, Classics, Comedy, Concerts, Dance, Drama, Festivals, Musicals and Opera, Readings, and Solo Performances. Pick one up at any Chase-Manhattan bank (there's one in the Harkness Pavilion lobby) or contact Alliance of resident Theaters/New York, 131 Varick Street, Room 904, new York, NY 10013 or call 1-800-610-0713.

A food and clothing drive for the needy! Do you have old clothes or shoes that you don't wear anymore? Why not make more space in your closets and give something to the homeless and needy. We are collecting clothes and dry or canned food for donation. This drive has collected and donated over six bags of clothes and a number of boxes of food already. The collection will continue until Saturday, April 13, 1996. We will finish off this drive with an all-day event on April 13. Anyone interested can jo in us in making sandwiches and distributing them to the homeless and needy of our own Washington Heights. Please donate what you can and come join us in helping our neighbors who need help. If every person gave a little, we could all have a lot! To don ate food or clothes, or to join us on April 13, contact Annie at af155@columbia.edu or call 781-8074.

Do you know of a show or other event which you think the GSO should sponsor? Come to one of our meetings and bring it up! If we agree to sponsor it and you organize it we'll pay for your ticket!

Every Wednesday night, the GSO shows a movie. Admission is open to all and it's free. Also, munchies are usually provided. look for posters each week announcing the movie or check out our web site of movie listings or t he GSO board in the lobby of HHSC.
