General Sample Submission Guidelines
Inflammatory AspirateKindly submit samples by 1 PM so that we can provide you results on same day.
If you are submitting large number of samples, contact us 1-2 days in advance.
Contact us in advance prior to project/research proposal submission for pricing, special methods of collection, tests not listed in our website etc.  

The laboratory is located on 19th Floor of Black building, Room 1912.

Complete Blood Count

Blood smear

Complete blood count is done with a Beckmann coulter machine and a manual differential count is also done on each sample. All tubes must be adequately labelled and be accompanied by a completed submission form. Testing requires a minimum of 25-50 µl and only EDTA whole blood can be used. Please contact us prior to sample submission to schedule testing. Samples requiring additional testing will be submitted to an appropriate referral laboratory.

Samples submitted for blood chemistry analysis are processed using a state of art machine, Hemagen Analyst. All tubes must be adequately labeled and be accompanied by a completed submission form. Hemolysis should be avoided, as it will interfere with certain tests. Only serum can be analyzed. For a comprehensive profile we require a minimum of 100 µl of serum/ 250 µl blood. Test profiles not available in our laboratory will be send to an appropriate laboratory. Kindly contact us for any special testing requirements.
