Dr. Hirschs interests are in the area of breastfeeding
medicine. He is focused on facilitating and promoting lactation,
the preferred form of nutrition for nearly all newborns and
infants, in both the neonatal ICU and the well-baby nursery.
He is also working to enhance breastfeeding practices in both
the medical and lay communities of the New York metropolitan
