Transport
& Referrals
The NICU @ Children's utilizes the New York Presbyterian
Hospital Emergency Medical Services to transport premature
and critically ill newborns daily from hospitals in the tri-state
area and will arrange for transports from anywhere in the
world. Our service is dedicated to providing a rapid response
with a highly skilled and experienced team of doctors, nurses
and paramedics. You can access this system by calling our
NICU hotline 24/hrs/day 7 days/week
at 1 888 4 CHNICU. A neonatologist will be available
for consultations or to arrange for transport.
Our goal is to keep an open line of communication with the
newborns referral physician and return all babies to their
hospital of birth as soon as medically appropriate.
For referrals to the NICU
at Children's Hospital of New York please call or e-mail the
following individuals:

Call 1 888 4 CHNICU if you are a physician who
would like to transfer an infant to the NICU at Babies
Hospital or to consult with an attending neonatologist
