November 19, 2007
On November 19, alumni from the Psych-Mental Health Program met for an evening of networking, laughter and shared memories. Program Director Penelope Buschman was there to greet former students and discuss issues in practice.

Annual Scholarship Reception
October 18, 2007
On October 18, scholarship donors and their student recipients had the opportunity to meet and become acquainted. At this special annual event, over 40 donors were recognized and thanked for their commitment to supporting nursing students, and 56 scholars were honored for their outstanding achievement. Over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, students and donors, including alumni, foundations and friends, shared an evening of friendship and pride. Tenth Annual Scholarship Reception
At the Tenth Annual Scholarship Reception on October 20, the School recognized and thanked donors of named scholarships, and honored the student scholarship recipients.  Donors, including alumni, foundations and friends, had the opportunity to meet the students they supported through contributions of $5,000 or more to the Annual Fund or other scholarship fund, or through establishing an endowed scholarship fund.  It was a wonderful evening of friendship and shared pride, as alumni and students discuss the past, present and future of the School and of nursing.

Graduates of the Psych-Mental Health program joined their fellow graduates and current faculty members for dinner and casual discussion of issues in practice.

"All My Babies" Exhibit
The national tour of the "Reclaiming Midwives: Stills from 'All My Babies'" exhibit kicked off at the Hammer Health Sciences Library. Co-sponsored by the School of Nursing and the School of Public Health, the exhibit featured rare images depicting the work of an African American "granny" midwife. Photos

 

Alumni Reunion 2005
May 5 and 6, 2005
Alumni Reunion was a huge success with over 150 alumni gathering in New York City to celebrate. Events on May 5 focused on the observance of the 50th Anniversary of the Nurse Midwifery Masters program at Columbia, the oldest in the country. Guests were honored to have Faye Wattleton '67 as the featured speaker. Twenty five members of the Class of 1955 gathered to celebrate their 50th Reunion - many memories were shared, friendships renewed and a generally good time was had by all. Photos. More photos.

Psych-Mental Health Reunion
October 18, 2004
On October 18, the School of Nursing hosted a reunion for graduates the Psych-Mental Health program. About 30 program graduates attended the event, held at the Faculty Club at the Columbia University Medical Center . Organized with the help of Program Director Penny Buschman Gemma '64, the evening included a great discussion of issues in the field. Alumni Reunion 2004
May 6 and 7, 2004
Everyone agreed that reunion this year was the best yet - from the symposium on Bioethics and Nursing, to the tours of the School and the Hospital, to the gala dinner honoring the Class of 1954 - it was a wonderful opportunity to re-connect with old friends and to make new ones. Of particular interest to the alums was the chance to meet the outstanding group of students currently enrolled at the School. Photos
