Support the School of Nursing

Bequests

Making a gift through a bequest offers you the opportunity to support an institution in which you have a personal interest, while also creating a lasting legacy in your name or in that of someone you wish to honor.

A gift in your will may endow a research or teaching fund, a fellowship, a scholarship, or even a named professorship. A carefully planned bequest may also lower your estate taxes without reducing the assets transferred to your heirs, or may allow you to establish a trust that provides both income for your heirs and support for Columbia University School of Nursing.

Bequests should specifically name the University by its Legal Title: "The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York" and direct the gift to the School of Nursing.
