Janice Smolowitz, DNP, ANP, GNP

Janice Smolowitz, DNP, ANP, GNP is the Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Practice at Columbia University School of Nursing. Dr. Smolowitz has been a member of the faculty since 1998 and oversees the faculty practice. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Dr. Smolowitz teaches in the DNP program and chairs the DNP Portfolio and Comprehensive Examination Committees. She has been an invited member in several national committees including National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty (NONPF) Practice Doctorate Nurse Practitioner Entry-Level Competencies (2006). Dr. Smolowitz is a member of American Board of Comprehensive Care, Clinical Scholars Review, and Parkinson's Study Group. She is a Diplomat in Comprehensive Care and practiced as an Adult Nurse Practitioner for 18 years in primary adult health.  She received a BSN at SUNY Brockport, an MS from Columbia University School of Nursing, an EdD from Columbia University Teachers College, and a DNP from Columbia University School of Nursing.  For the past decade, she has practiced in the Movement Disorders Center of the Neurological Institute at Columbia University Medical Center. She participates in clinical research as both co-investigator and principle investigator.

Caroline Sullivan, MS, ANP

Caroline Sullivan Caroline Sullivan is Assistant Professor of Clinical Nursing at Columbia University School of Nursing. She received a BS from Boston College School of Nursing, an MBA from Suffolk University and an MS from the University of Connecticut School of Nursing.  She is certified in Adult Health by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Ms Sullivan’s practice interests include occupational health, travel medicine and women’s health.

 

Kristine Takamiya, DNP, ANP

Dr. Takamiya is Assistant Professor of Clinical Nursing at Columbia University School of Nursing. She received a BS in Nursing from the University of Rochester and an MS and DNP from Columbia University School of Nursing. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Adult Health. Ms. Takamiya’s research interests include nutrition, occupational health and infectious diseases.

 

Phyllis Tarallo, DNP, FNP-C, DCC

Phyllis Tarallo is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Nursing at Columbia University School of Nursing.   Dr. Tarallo has more than 30 years of clinical experience in family health, with special interest in gynecologic cancer prevention. She received a BSN from Mercy College, an MS and FNP from Mercy College, and a DNP from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She serves as Director of Women’s Health for the Center of Liver Disease and Transplantation at Columbia University.

Joann Reddings

  Dr. Reddings is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Nursing at Columbia University School of Nursing. She received a BSN from New Paltz College, an MS and FNP from Pace University and a DNP from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  She has more than 20 years of clinical experience in family health, and primary care with a strong background in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery.
