14. Publications

Under the direction of Dr. Laura Zeidenstein, Director of the CUSON Nurse-Midwifery Program, the entire graduating midwifery class of 2006 (16 students) submitted articles for publication in the Journal of Midwifery and Women's Health (JMWH) and all were accepted for publication in 2007. The students’ assignment was to submit an article to the Clinical Rounds column in JMWH, consisting of a clinical case including evidence based background, management, and discussion. Midwifery students worked in pairs, and there were 8 submissions. There are 6 JMWH issues each year and the articles by the CUSON Nurse-Midwifery students will be published in each issue in 2007 in the Clinical Rounds section, with no other authors in that column. Dr. Zeidenstein was asked to write the JMWH editorial for the January 2007 issue in which she will introduce the student submissions. Articles to appear are as follows:

• "Second Trimeter IUFD Management" by Tamara Belkin and Jessica Wilder


• "Management of the Third Stage of Labor" by Melissa Bair and Jennifer Williams


• "Management of the Second Stage of labor in Women with Epidural Anesthesia" by Peri Jacobson and Leslie Turner
