13. Continuing Education and Training Courses
The Office of Research Resources is planning a spring 2006 continuing education course: “NIH Study Sections: Assignment and Review Process” The course will be led by a SON faculty panel with experience serving on NIH review panels. Date TBD. This course will be open to all faculty, staff, and students. To be co-sponsored by

Information Systems (AIS) computer workshops for Fall 2005
include:
- Courses on the research software, NVIVO, including NVIVO I: importing documents and setting up codes, and NVIVO II: searching and reporting on coded data
- Courses on web publishing, designing, and graphics; internet and e-mail; and the UNIX system
All courses are FREE to Columbia faculty, staff, and students, but registration is required. Click here for more information and to register.
- The Columbia University Health Sciences Library software workshops for Fall 2005 include courses on Windows XP, Mac OS X, Excel I, II, & III, Endnotes, Computer Security, E-mail Essentials, Powerpoint I & II, Photoshop I, Scanning, and Poster Making. These courses are FREE to Columbia faculty, staff, and students.
