This inaugural Luncheon will feature Dr. Mary D'Alton, Chair of Obstetrics & Gynecology at NYPH/CUMC. Hot on the heels of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) State-of-the-Science Conference on Cesarean Delivery on Maternal Request, Dr. D'Alton will speak about this controversial topic. Dr. D'Alton, who chaired the 14 member panel, will discuss the risks and benefits of planned cesarean sections as well as trends and implications of c-section rates in the care of women and infants.
