Columbia University's Programs in Occupational Therapy are committed to educating and preparing therapists to have an impact health care as superior practitioners, administrators, consultants, educators, and researchers in (1) prevention of dysfunction; (2) promotion of health and maintenance of health; (3) rehabilitation; and (4) implementation of daily living tasks and vocational adjustment. The Programs in Occupational Therapy seek to instill intellectual curiosity, critical thinking skills, an appreciation of the importance of research in the field and dedication to lifelong learning.

The Programs in Occupational Therapy offer the following degree paths:

1. Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (Professional), for those individuals seeking to become occupational therapists;
   

2. Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Administration or Education (Postprofessional), for those individuals who are occupational therapists, and are seeking advanced education;
   

3. Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and Master of Public Health (Dual degree: both Professional and Post-professional);
   

4. Doctor of Education in Movement Science with a specialization in Occupational Therapy.
