What every woman needs to know.
Isn't it interesting how a woman's life continues to change at every age? We grow up and survive puberty and the teenage years. We mature into adulthood and manage a career, marriage, family and a host of outside interests. We see our children grow up and, eventually, go off on their own. Just when we think life might settle down a bit, we start into a new era. It's called "midlife." After being used to this body we've lived in, it suddenly begins to undergo a whole new set of changes, physically and emotionally. Some of the changes are as surprising as our first period or watching our bodies develop as teenagers. And the changes just keep coming. It's as though we're starting all over again. In a sense, we are. And that's what this newsletter is all about - Health Changes at Midlife. Generally speaking, women ages 45 and older enter into a time of life referred to as "midlife," or perimenopause/ menopause/postmenopause, or "the change!" This stage of life is actually far more positive than any of its names indicate, especially when we understand what's happening to our bodies and how to take care of ourselves. Many women, in fact, consider this the best of times ... the time of their life! We want to help you feel the same. The key is to have good health, a positive outlook and to know the facts about midlife. We are committed to women's health.
