Nephrology
The
Pediatric Nephrology faculty are involved in teaching students in the medical
school and residents in Children's Hospital. There are ongoing collaborative
research studies on the use of growth hormone in children with chronic renal
filure, on therapy for the nephrotic syndrome, and on the use of antihypertensive
drugs in children. The division is also part of the North American Pediatric
Renal Transplant Collaborative study, an important research and data collection
program for children with chronic renal failure, dialysis, or renal transplantation. |
