where do residents live?

Upper Manhattan, above 120th Street

Upper West Side (33)
From 60th to 120th Street. Direct access via subway (1 or A trains, 20-30 minute ride).

Upper East Side (2)
From 20th Street to 83rd Street. A 30 minute trip via the FDR Drive by car.

Midtown West (2)
From 40th - 60th streets.

A quick trip across the George Washington Bridge from Fort Lee, Hoboken, North Bergen, Dumont and Hackensack.

Social Activities

Housestaff Picnic Held in June, this is an annual picnic and opportunity to welcome new interns, meet spouses and significant others. Play volleyball, softball, and other games or relax with friends in Fort Tryon Park.
Junior Night In June, a bash for second year residents, held at location of their choice.
Intern Retreat Held in the spring, this is a long weekend off before starting second year.
Holiday Party A time for celebration and fun in December.
Senior Weekend All 3rd year residents get together for a last fling.
Informal Social Events Happy hours, sporting events, plays, comedy clubs, dancing, and dinners sponsored by Housestaff and faculty on an impromptu basis.
Noon Conference & Housestaff Lunch Provided 3-4 times weekly during our educational series.
End of Year Party Held in May, this is an evening of dinner and dancing and award presentations. Housestaff also present skits and spoofs for all to enjoy!

Complimentary and discount tickets for ball games, comedy clubs and the Gala Annual Dinner are available to residents throughout the year from Human Resources.

Child Care

The Presbyterian Hospital Infant and Child Care Center is the day care center for the New York Presbyterian Hospital. Located at 61 Haven Avenue, the center serves infants 2 months old to children 5 years old. Facilities include an attractive play space and an innovative learning environment.

Fitness

New York Presbyterian Hospital has a newly opened Employee Fitness Center. Hours are

Monday - Friday 6:00am - 8:00pm; Saturday, 8:00 am - 2:00pm. Top of the line equipment by Cybex and Technogym. Full line of aerobics. $55 per month via payroll deduction.

BAKER FIELD: An outdoor athletic facility that houses the football stadium, soccer field, running track, baseball field and tennis courts. The field is located at the tip of upper Manhattan.
