Damaris Javier, M.A. Director di2123@columbia.edu As the Director Mrs. Javier provides support services to the Office of Diversity and the Black and Latino Students Organization (BALSO), which includes serving as a P&S diversity recruiter and organizing the Minority Recruitment Day Conference (MRDC) . She also serves as the director for programs such as the Summer Medical and Dental Education Program (SMDEP), the State Pre-College Enrichment Program (S-PREP), and the Northeast Regional Alliance MedPrep Program. These programs are all designed to increase the number of underrepresented minorities and economically disadvantaged students in medical or health professions.
