Sleep Disorders in Children
Children are subject to disorders of sleep and wakefulness which are
unique to childhood, and their care and treatment demand special
expertise. Insomnia, sleepwalking, nightmares, nocturnal bedwetting, and
other sleep-related symptoms are not only a problem for the young patient
but for the entire family. At the Sleep Disorders Center, the expertise
of the staff is augmented by the skills of pediatrics specialists. The
Center's multidisciplinary approach ensures that the physiological and
psychological needs particular to childhood are given thorough and expert
attention. For infants, children, and adolescents, the Sleep Disorders
Center provides effective diagnostic, treatment, and counseling services
to aid in the management of sleep problems.
