Student Travel Fund: Domestic Internships
To encourage Mailman students to accept prestigious, but low paying, summer internships with governmental agencies (CDC and NCI among others), the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) has developed the Student Travel Fund: Internship Program which is administered by the Office of Career Services (OCS).
Since the summer of 2002, 35 students have been able to accept internships at the Centers for Disease Control, Idaho Commission on Aging, Indian Health Service, MCH Program of Los Angeles County, National Cancer Institute, NYS Psychiatric Institute, UNFPA, UNICEF, U.S. Department of State, World Health Organization, and the Offices of Senators Hillary Clinton (NY) and Joseph Vitale (NJ) as a result of this program. The OCS will keep you posted on academic year opportunities eligible for the program as the school year progresses. If you are pursuing an opportunity that you think might qualify, but is not among those that the OCS promotes, please start a dialogue with us.
