| The Mailman School of Public Health has a strong, long-standing track record of global health work. As a fundamental part of our mission of research, education and service, the School is engaged in programs in nearly 50 countries around the world, addressing such issues as maternal and child health, infectious diseases, environmental health, and disease surveillance. Our programs focus on embedding knowledge and skills in the places where we work. Through our strong partnerships with international, regional, national and local institutions, we emphasize capacity building and training in order for projects to be replicable and sustainable over time.
