Global Health Council Pays Tribute to the Career of Dr. Allan Rosenfield
"Healthy Women, Healthy World: A Global Health Community Tribute to the Career of Dean Allan Rosenfield", took place at the Council's 33rd Annual International Conference on Global Health Highlights in Washington, D.C. At the special evening reception, conference participants and the wider global health and development community recognized the remarkable contributions of Dr. Rosenfield in a career spanning 40 years and several continents. Friends and colleagues were invited to celebrate "a true global health hero, who has been a tenacious and constant champion for the cause of women's health and human rights, whose life's work has been a case study in excellence, innovation and influence." The tribute to Dr. Rosenfield was co-sponsored by PATH and IPPF/International, with contributing support from the Guttmacher Institute, International Center for Research on Women, Pathfinder International, Population Action International and Ipas.
