OUTREACH
The Office of External Affairs was established in 1991 to increase awareness among healthcare consumers and referring physicians for the services, facilities and programs offered by Columbia-Presbyterians Department of Surgery and The Heart Institute.
Physician Referral Service is the heart of our outreach efforts. A round-the-clock phone bank has been established to aid both physicians and consumers in finding specialists offering the most advanced surgical care available today.
Educational Information, in a wide array of media, is created and distributed to both professional and consumer audiences.
Call-to-Action Advertising via print, radio and direct mail campaigns is created and placed through our office.
Special Events, including Continuing Medical Education seminars and Clinical Lecture Series are coordinated through External Affairs.
