AFFAIRS OF THE HEART®AFFAIRS OF THE HEART is dedicated to educating women about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and related diseases. Heart disease is the number one killer of American women. In the U. S., all cardiovascular diseases combined claim more than 500,000 lives each year, and over 48% of these are women. To promote health awareness and education, the Affairs of the Heart Committee sponsors three major programs annually—our Luncheon Seminar, a free Womens Health Fair, and Merit Scholarship funding to graduating high school seniors. Past events have included: Spring 1995, 1996, 1997 And 1998 Free Womens Health Symposium Fall 1994 Luncheon Seminar Fall 1995 Luncheon Seminar Fall 1996 Luncheon Seminar Fall 1997 Luncheon Seminar Page maintained by Dept. of Surgery, External Affairs |
