Second Group of Garvey Fellows Chosen
Eight faculty from four CUMC schools have been selected as 2007 fellows of the Glenda Garvey Teaching Academy. Created in 2005, the Academy seeks to recognize excellence, reward achievement and promote innovation among faculty members from the College of Physicians & Surgeons, the College of Dental Medicine, the Mailman School of Public Health, and the School of Nursing. It is named for the late Glenda Garvey, M.D., a P&S alumna and faculty member known as an outstanding clinician and teacher who trained more than 3,000 medical center students. Dr. Garvey died in 2004.
