New Chief Operating Officer to Take Helm at CUMC

Anne Taylor
Lisa Hogarty

Lisa Hogarty, a health care and academic administrative leader, will join CUMC in December as its chief operating officer. Ms. Hogarty has been executive vice president for student and administrative services at Columbia University for the past five years.
In her new role, Ms. Hogarty will work with Lee Goldman, M.D., executive vice president of Columbia University and dean of the faculties of health sciences and medicine at CUMC, to lead medical center operations, including interactions among CUMC’s four health science schools.
At Columbia, Ms. Hogarty has been credited with building strong management teams and reorganizing human resources and information technology for academic and administrative applications. Among the new technologies she has spearheaded is an electronic health record for the student health service that has reduced wait times by half.
Before joining Columbia, Ms. Hogarty spent nine years in executive positions at Continuum Health Partners and Mount Sinai Medical Center.
