With Gratitude

Ribbon-Cutting
Shown above doing the ribbon-cutting honors is Jayne Asher, president of the foundation, along with Dr. Sergio Piomelli, the James A. Wolff Professor of Pediatrics, left; other foundation members; pediatric oncology faculty--including Dr. R. Peter Altman, the Rudolph N. Schullinger Professor of Pediatric Surgery, and Dr. Michael Weiner, P&S professor of clinical pediatrics--and fellows.
To acknowledge the generous financial support of the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, the divisions of pediatric hematology, pediatric oncology, and pediatric surgery placed a commemorative plaque within the pediatric oncology/hematology unit in Babies & Children's Hospital. This spring, members of the Pediatric Cancer Foundation were invited to an afternoon tea with faculty, staff, and fellows following an unveiling of the plaque.

The funds donated by the foundation have gone for faculty support, research, salaries of nurses and practitioners, and fellowships. The foundation has supported work in pediatric cancer at CPMC by supplying, over the years, more than $1 million in funds.
