Nurse Midwifery Certificate Program

The certified nurse midwifery post-master’s statutory certificate program is designed to allow master’s prepared registered nurses to add professional competencies which prepare them for additional areas of gainful employment.  Certified nurse midwives provide full scope comprehensive care for women throughout the life cycle, including pregnancy and childbirth and menopause.

Individual students may need additional course work, depending on previous study and experience. Students may receive advanced standing or exemption, based on standard School policy.

If you have questions regarding the program, please contact the Program Director, Dr. Laura Zeidenstein, at LZ108@columbia.edu.
