About Us

Life is full of questions. You might be wondering whether Columbia Christian Fellowship is for you. Perhaps you're just curious about what CCF is, or why it exists. With just a few sentences, it's hard to do justice to all that CCF represents, but here are some of the basic facts about the fellowship!

CCF is an inter-denominational, student-run organization that encourages participants to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. All are welcome to the weekly meetings, which include prayer, Bible discussion, singing, and fellowship. Through these meetings and friendships fostered, members support each other as they go through their respective programs. Members of the fellowship include students in the Medical, Dental, Graduate, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Public Health schools, as well as friends and spouses.

In the past, CCF has had guest speakers and slide shows with topics including medicine in the developing world and practical applications of faith. Another popular event was a weekend retreat out of the city where students enjoyed a change of scenery, close fellowship, and good teaching. These events have helped us to integrate our chosen professions into our relationship with Christ. CCF members have participated in events of the Christian Medical and Dental Association, including events for Christian medical students city-wide. Members have also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Harlem, and have served meals to patients with HIV. Social activities have included events such as hiking, ice-skating, potluck dinners, and a variety of other outings.

Medical school is an exciting and challenging time. Along with gaining a tremendous amount of knowledge, students find that their values and convictions are continually tested. CCF seeks to support its members through this process by encouraging one another in Christ. If you're interested in finding out more about CCF, contact us!
